Where to find Iron Nuggets in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

In the first days of Animal Crossing: New Horizonsto need iron lump to create and unlock tools Nook’s crackthe first shop on the island that costs 30 iron nuggets (a rare resource) to complete.

You get iron nuggets from rocks, which can also spit stone and clay. (Also, one of the rocks in your town will drop bells instead of resources.) It’s best to check the rocks as soon as possible so you have Iron Nuggets when you need them.

Iron nuggets for agriculture

To farm Iron Nuggets, use a shovel to hit the rocks around your island until they stop dropping resources. To maximize the amount of loot you get from each stone:

1. Stand next to a rock and hold your shovel.
2. Turn around and face the rock.
3. Dig two holes, staying between the rock and the dug holes. (The holes prevent you from jumping after each hit.)
4. Hit the rock as many times as fast as you can.

Consider farming resources from all of your rocks every day to gather your resources. If you’ve hit all the rocks in your town and still don’t have enough iron nuggets for your ship, your best bet is to buy one Rincon Miles ticket for 2,000 Nook Miles and head to one of the random islands. There will be a lot of rock to farm there.

You can also time travel by changing the date on your Nintendo Switch in the settings if you’re ok with changing to the next day.
