Vampire Survivors guide: Weapon evolutions chart

Inside Vampire Survivor, you can collect a variety of weapons and upgrades to fight armies of the damned and survive these titular vampires. But to really reach the heights of power, you need to evolve your weapons by combining them with an item (at least in most cases).

In this Vampire Survivor Weapon Evolution Chart we will show you all the different weapons in the game, answer if they have an evolved form or not and tell you how to evolve them.

[Ed. note: This guide was last updated on May 9, 2022 and is up to date with Vampire Survivors patch 0.5.205. We’ll update this guide further if future patches add additional item evolutions.]

How do Vampire Survivors costumes work?

Every time you level up Vampire Survivor, you can randomly select a weapon or upgrade item to add to your character. Each run, you can collect up to six weapons and six upgrade items.

By selecting the same weapon or item the next time you level up, you can level it up, change its functionality, or increase its stats. Each weapon can be upgraded 8 times and items can be upgraded 5 times.

Weapons and items have (mostly) different strengths, so you’ll need to mix and match different effects to create powerful builds. However, some weapons can be combined with a specific item, transforming and evolving the weapon into a much better version of itself.

However, just having the weapon and the corresponding item is not enough to evolve it. There are other things to do before that:

• Upgrade the weapon you want to evolve to level eight
• Get his combo suit item either on the map or through higher levels (no need to level up the item at all).
• Pick up a chest dropped by enemy bosses while wielding a level 8 weapon and its combo item.

Note that chests will generally not drop evolved weapons until you survive 10 minutes, even if you meet all other conditions. It’s also worth noting that if you have multiple ready-to-evolve items, the next chest you pick up will randomize which of your ready-to-evolve items you’ll get.
