Prey guide: Where to find weapons

You are seeing: Prey guide: Where to find weapons. This post was compiled by en.intelnuc.

preyThe Talos 1 space station is full of creatures trying to kill you. Luckily there are also weapons scattered around the station. It’s surprisingly easy to miss some of these weapons: sometimes you just walk past them without realizing it, and other times they’re just hard to hit.

But we’re here to walk you through the first (or easiest) ways to add to your arsenal. (We leave them key and the Canon GLOO because you basically have no choice but to collect them).

Disruptor Stun Gun

The first weapon you can find is very, very easy to miss – you’ll need to learn a trick with your GLOO Cannon to get it. If you shoot GLOO at a wall, you can build yourself a ladder.

In the Neuromod Division lobby, right after you pick up the GLOO Cannon, you can do this. Go up your GLOO stairs to the second floor. You can’t enter the rooms yet, but if you look around you’ll find a volunteer’s corpse. He has (had?) a disruptive stun guns right next to him.

Getting the shotgun early will make your life a lot easier (and longer). It’s actually pretty easy to get the shotgun, but just as easy to miss. Luckily, you don’t even need special cards or codes.

The first shotgun you’ll come across is in the Talos 1 lobby on the ground floor. Go to the back right corner of the hallway and look for the hallway that says Security. Just before the bend in the hallway on your left, look for a yellow pipe that runs the length of the wall. Climb on it and follow it to the air vent. You come into the security office, right next to a desk with a shotgun.

silenced weapon

A little later, but still early in the game, you’ll have the opportunity to collect them silent weapon. The pistol isn’t as powerful as the shotgun, but it has many advantages: it’s quiet (hence the “quiet” part of the name) and unobtrusive, it has a long firing range, and ammo is plentiful and relatively cheap. for the production.

To recover the weapon, you must go to his office during the An Office with a View objective. You will pick them up conference key card outside your office. As you exit the board offices, the conference call is across the hall. When you open the door, you’ll have to contend with some impersonations, one of which is likely pretending to be the weapon you’re looking for.

Lightning Throwing Huntress

After passing the teleconference center, you can go through Talos 1 corridor to the sales department. You’ll find this behind the desk in Kelly Randolph’s office Lightning Throwing Huntress.

At first glance, it’s easy to dismiss this as a joke weapon; After all, it’s a Nerf gun. But eventually he will learn that the tips of the arrows can be used to interface with computers and buttons, giving him access to otherwise inaccessible parts. You can also use arrows to attract (or deflect) typhoons and set off traps. The Huntress Boltcaster is awesome.

Q beam

By far the most powerful weapon you’ll encounter (relatively) early in the game is the Q-Beam. It takes a bit of work, but it’s worth every second of effort.

The Q-Beam is located in the aptly named Beams and Waves Lab in Hardware Labs – you are here during the Through a Glass Darkly objective. During your spacewalk, you must find the vulnerability next to the corpse of Dr. Repair Calvino. This will allow you to enter the Beams and Waves lab hallway on the second floor of Atrium Hardware Labs. You will then need to take the keycard from a corpse directly to the left of the door. There is a computer in the lab that you can interact with that you can practice using the Q-Beam with and then pick it up.
