Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour: Is Voltorb Shiny?

Until February 22, 2022, Voltorb will be in the spotlight, and you’ll get double candy for catching Pokémon. And yes, Voltorb can be brilliant Pokemon go.

Note that Hisuian Voltorb can’t be Shiny yet and he doesn’t appear in this hour of Spotlight. This emblematic hour is for the normal Cantonal Voltorb.

Pokemon is about catching them all and getting in Pokemon go That means capturing all variants, including the rare Shiny versions of Pokemon. Every Tuesday at Pokemon go, players will see a specific Pokémon more frequently during Spotlight Hour, which runs from 6:00 p.m. to 6:59 p.m. local time. Spotlight Hour is your chance to stock up on candy, a chance at a high CP Pokemon, and if you’re lucky, a Shiny Pokemon.

Do brightness rates increase during attention hour?

Brightness rates do not appear to increase during spotlight hours based on data collected from the Pokemon The Silph Road community. However, the sheer number of Pokémon spawning during the hour-long weekly event gives you a better chance of encountering a random Shine. The more Pokemon you click, the more chances you have of catching a Shiny Pokemon.

What can I do to attract more Shiny Pokémon?

Unfortunately not much. It seems to be a coincidence. Shiny Pokemon catch rates are set by developer Niantic and usually only increase during special events like Community Days or Safari Zones, or during Legendary Raids. There are no consumable items that increase Shiny Pokémon’s rate.
