With the addition of Pokémon from the Sinnoh region in Pokemon go come new developments for 11 existing Pokémon. In order to evolve these Pokemon into their Generation 4 forms, you’ll need a lot of them candy and added an item Pokemon go: Sinnoh Stones.

Sinnoh Stones are similar to other evolution items found in Pokemon go, such as Metal Mantle, Dragonscale, and Sunstones. Unlike these evolution materials, you can’t earn Sinnoh Bricks simply by spinning PokéStops.

How do I get the Sinnoh Stones?

Sinnoh Stones can be obtained from two sources: research tasks Y PvP battles.

After completing seven full days of Research Progress Stamps, you have a chance to earn a single Sinnoh Stone from a Research Breakthrough. The odds of winning are not high, so it may take several weeks before you are rewarded.

Sinnoh Stones also rarely drop after they’re done PvP battles. You can battle an AI trainer once per day for potential rewards. You can also battle another player three times a day for a chance at rewards. With four shots a day, you’ll probably find it easier to get Sinnoh Stones from PvP battles than looking for quests.

Which Pokemon evolve with Sinnoh Stones?

There are many Pokémon from the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn regions that have Sinnoh evolutions from Sinnoh Stones. Here is the current list:

  • Budev → Roselia → rosary
  • Elekid → Electabuzz → selectable
  • Twilight → Dusclops → Darkness
  • Gliscor
  • Magby → Magmar → magmortar
  • Villains → mismagius
  • honchkrow
  • Porygon → Porygon2 → Porygon Z
  • Ryhorn → Rhydon → hypertopic
  • weaving
  • Togepi → Togetic → Togekiss
  • Swinub → Piloswine → mamockon
  • ambipomic
  • Jana → Yanmega
  • tangela → seaweed growth
  • Lick
  • Ralts → Kirlia → Gallade
  • snoring → Icy

Each new Sinnoh evolution also costs 100 candies, but if you’re still catching up on previous evolutions, the good news is that some core evolutions now require fewer candies (from 50 to 25).

Which Pokemon should evolve?

If you prioritize attackers for raids, mamockon is one of the best, as it has a combination of extremely high CP and powerful Ground and Ice attacks, making it a solid choice for most Legendary raids. rosary is also one of best weed species and Electivir is one of the best electric species

However, if you want to evolve a Lickilicky just to have a cute round friend, this is also a great option.
