Catching Celebi, the time-traveling Legendary Pokémon, requires a large number of tasks in Pokemon go. The long quest chain called “A Ripple in Time” can be found under the Special Research Tasks tab.

If you want to use all the special researches as soon as possible, you have to Read the full to-do list first. There are some resources to save and developments to look forward to until you reach those specific milestones.

For example: Evolve an evolved Grass-type Pokémon requires 100 candies for a specific type of grass that you have already evolved. So if you’re about to turn this Gloom into a Vilefeather, wait until you’re at that particular step.

Celebi is available in Shiny, but only in a limited-time special research set that is no longer obtainable. Completing A Wave of Time will not award you with a bright celebrity.

Like other mythical Pokemon, Celebi doesn’t do a lot of PvE content like raids. It can hold its weight in PvP, but it’s not the ideal choice. Her best PvP moving game it is confusion With seed bomb Y leaf stormAccording to GamePress.

The eight phases of Celebi’s A Ripple in Time Special Research are listed below:

Find Celebi Step 1 of 8

  • Power up a Pokemon 5 times (1,000 XP)
  • Fight 2 times in an arena (1,000 XP)
  • Fight in a Raid (1000 XP)

awards: 10 Pokéballs, 1 Fast TM, 1 Special Incubator

Find Celebi Step 2 of 8

  • Make 3 new friends (1500 XP)
  • Catch a Pokemon 3 days in a row (1500 XP)
  • Evolve an evolved Grass-type Pokémon (1500 XP)

awards: 1 Sunstone, 1500 Stardust, 1 Premium Raid Pass

Suitable grass species include Bayleef, Gloom, Grovyle, Nuzleaf, Grotle, Ivysaur, Weepinbell, Skiploom, and Roselia.

Celebi Examination Step 3 of 8

  • Reach Level 25 (2000 XP)
  • Use a Sunstone to evolve into Gloom or Sunkern (2,000 XP)
  • Hatch 9 Eggs (2000 XP)

awards: Encounter with Eevee, 1 King’s Rock, 1 Premium Raid Pass

Celebi Examination Step 4 of 8

  • Walk 10 km with Eevee as your partner (2500 XP)
  • Evolve Eevee into Espeon during the day (2500 XP)
  • Send 20 gifts to friends (2500 XP)

awards: Eevee Encounter, 2500 Stardust and 1 Metal Cloak

If you haven’t already evolved an Eevee into an Espeon, you can name the Eevee “Sakura” to be guaranteed to turn it into an Espeon. Otherwise, you must run 10 km with Évoli and evolve into partner Évoli during the day. Note that Eevee must remain friends with you as you evolve it. Trading friendly Pokemon before evolving into Eevee will mess up the process.

Celebi investigation step 5 of 8

  • Walk 10 km with Eevee as your partner (3000 XP)
  • Evolve Eevee into Umbreon at night (3000 XP)
  • Trade a Pokemon (3000 XP)

awards: 1 star piece, 15 pineapple berries, 1 upgrade

As with Espeon, you can change your Eevee’s name to “Tamao” for a one-time guaranteed Umbreon. If you’ve done this before, you’ll have to run the 10km with your Eevee friend and then choose to evolve it at night to mark your Umbreon. Like Espeon, make sure to evolve the Eevee when it’s still set as your friend or you won’t get the Umbreon.

Celebi investigation step 6 of 8

  • Visit Pokéstops for 7 consecutive days (3500 XP)
  • Use 25 Pineapple Berries when catching Pokémon (3,500 XP)
  • Use special evolution items to evolve Pokémon 2 times (3500 XP)

awards: 3500 Stardust, 1 Dragon Scale, 5 Silver Pineapple Berries

Pokemon that can be evolved with items include Poliwhirl, Seadra, Slowpoke, Gloom, Scyther, Porygon, Sunkern, and Onyx. Any of the Sinnoh Stone Pokémon should also work with this task.

Celebi investigation step 7 of 8

  • Catch 40 Grass or Psychic-type Pokémon (4,000 XP)
  • Make an excellent curveball throw (4000 XP)
  • Earn a Johto Gold Medal (4000 XP)

awards: 1 TM Charge, 10 Silver Pineapple Berries, Meet Celebi

The Johto Gold Medal requires registering at least 70 Johto Pokémon in your Pokédex.

Celebi investigation step 8 of 8

  • Claim a Reward (4500 XP)
  • Claim a Reward (4500 XP)
  • Claim a Reward (4500 XP)

awards: 5500 Stardust, 1 Super Incubator, 20 Celebi Candy

Once you complete all the steps, Celebi will appear. You temporarily have an unlimited number of individual Poké Balls and your AR will power up. Celebi is a difficult catch as he disappears and reappears frequently, but there’s no pressure – you’ll eventually catch Celebi as long as you keep hitting him with bullets.

After Celebi is caught, there are no more tasks to complete. You just have to claim all these sweet rewards.

Celebi isn’t a particularly good attacker for raids, but it’s worth catching to fill up your Pokédex.
