If you liked our snowman in seamless socks, you’ll love our penguin in seamless socks too! This little fella will be a great match for his snowy friend (Santa might join in too if you craft ahead of the holidays), so grab that weird sock we know you have and get crafty!*
Seamless sock for crafting with penguins

What do you need
- 1 black sock
- 1 colored sock for the hat
- rubber bands (or yarn)
- white and orange felt
- glue gun
- felt glue
- marker or paint
Start by stuffing the black sock with rice (you’ll need a good amount of rice). When you are satisfied with the amount of rice and the approximate shape of the future penguin sock, tie an elastic band over it. We use two rubber bands to make things more secure.
Now take another elastic and place it just above the middle of the sock to separate the body and head. You’ll probably have to sculpt the body a bit with our hands. Here, too, we use 2 rubber bands to be on the safe side.
Cut off the excess sock. You can attach the top by adding glue from the glue gun. From white felt, cut a white oval shape (measure against body for proper fit). Attach it to the sock with felt glue (glue gun works well too).
Cut a small beak from orange felt and glue it to the head. Draw two black eyes with a black marker.
Add a ribbon to make a scarf (attach with a glue gun or glue dots, sometimes ribbons can be tricky to glue, we’ve found these two glues work best with ribbons).
Finally, cut a colored sock (in the middle). Roll it up a bit to get the shape of the hat and place it on the penguin.
