How to Make a Wooden Pallet: What You Need

This is a beautiful gem of an open project to get you started and bring loft-style Scandi to your dressing room. Too cheap, cheers, should apologize. It looks great, but it’s rated as easy to make and suitable for all abilities, from beginners to professional craftsmen!

The tools and equipment you need

    • tape measure
    • electric drill
    • Instructions and Sink Bits
    • screwdriver blade
    • Electric sander and sandpaper
    • ventilation mask
    • Combination block
    • Hand saw or table saw
    • Paint Brush

    documents you need

    • 4 identical trays (the overall size should be large enough to fit the mattress of your choice) plus additional trays to fill in the gaps (if needed)
    • connection board
    • wood screws
    • 9 industrial casters (2-4 lockable)
    • 40 mm (1.5 in) panel legs
    • OSB (Oriented Board)
    • grey chalk paint
    • 4 spring nails or copper nails

Better advice: You’ll need a prep board (page 12 of this book), or you can use an FSC prep board from popular retailers like Homebase.

    1. Place the tray

Invert four identical pallets on a flat surface to create the main deck structure.

    2 Add to the tray

Do this for the blocks by drilling a pilot hole and inserting them into each block. Use a drill and a blade screwdriver to tighten the blade with the long screw. You can also lay the connection plates flat in the middle to strengthen them.

    3. Fill in the blanks

Fill gaps in decks with extra decks. Make sure it’s tightly textured to provide bottom strength.

    4 Grab the wheel

Attach 3 wheels to each top and bottom end and another 3 wheels to the center using a dynamic drill, screwdriver and screws. Try attaching them to the base block for extra strength, and place the lockable wheels diagonally to each other.

    5. Flip the tray

Rotate the entire structure so the wheels are on the ground.

    6. Wheel lock

Safety wheels reduce movement and sand all blades to remove debris.

    7. Measuring, marking and cutting

Cut two 35″ (90cm) industrial beams and a bed or 63″ (159.5cm) wide. They created a title. Sand the beam.

Attach two 35″ (90 cm) links to each end of the platform using dynamic drill bits, fences, contact links, screwdriver bits, and screws to form the ends of the headers.

    8. Insert the remaining bars

Lay on the two shorter rods, making sure they are flat on both ends. Secure with drill, guide blade, countersunk base, screwdriver bit and screws.

    9. Cutting the OSB

Use a hand/table saw that is 30 cm (1 ft) wide. Cut the OSB to a length of 63 inches (159.5 cm) or the width of the bed.

Sand the OSB for a smoother finish. Blackboard with grey chalk drawing. Determine where you want the board to be on top of the headboard, and measure and mark the headboard to make sure it’s level.
