We show you how to make paper beads and how to make a simple paper bead bracelet.
Sounds interesting right? It is very easy to turn paper into beads.
For those of you who already have the wand, it would be an easy task, wouldn’t it? And for the rest of you who don’t have a wand, you’ll have to hand roll the paper strips onto a toothpick to make the beads, or you can Quick jump to see the wand project we showed you recently.
These can look so cool that none of your friends will even notice that the bracelet you’re wearing is made of paper!
And how cool is that?
How to make a paper bead bracelet?
What do you need:
- Diary, book pages, watercolor wallpaper or colored paper
- the glue
- elastic thread
Optional: gloss varnish, colors
Step by step instructions
On your chosen paper, draw and cut out an isosceles triangle, right triangle and rectangle as shown in the figure.
Make sure the paper strips are the correct length, at least 20 cm.
If you want to make larger beads, use longer strips of paper.
Put some glue on one side of the paper strip and start wrapping it around the toothpick.
When the tape is fully adhered, remove it from the toothpick and set aside to dry.
Repeat this step with each of the paper strips until you have enough beads to thread onto the thread.
Apply some glue to the beads and let them dry.
You must measure around your wrist for the bracelet to fit properly.
Begin threading the beads onto the elastic thread and when finished tie a tight knot.
Now put on your bracelet and show everyone!
You can make as many as you want.
Make them as colorful as possible.
Have fun crafting!
How to make paper beads look like glass beads
If you prefer the look of glass, make the beads in the shape of an isosceles triangle and make them as long as possible. Once you have rolled the bead, paint it with paint and cover it with gloss varnish.
