How to Make a Simple Paper Ladybug

Learn how to make a simple paper ladybug – it couldn’t be easier!

With this tutorial, we’re going to create a cute ladybug craft that’s suitable (and fun) for all ages. A perfect spring craft for kids at home or school.

These cute and colorful ladybugs are sure to bring cuteness and a smile to your home or classroom.

We love ladybugs, they are one of the cutest insects (on par with butterflies).

They are very small and gather on all types of plants.

They sleep like this together and if you look at them closely they will melt your heart.

Ladybugs love honey. So if you find honey on the flowers in your house, bring a few drops of honey and feed these adorable creatures.

How to make a simple paper ladybug?

What do you need:

  • round pickguard
  • colored papers
  • white papers
  • the glue
  • big eyes
  • scissors
  • black liner/marker

Step by step instructions

Using a circle punch, punch four circles out of each colored paper.

Fold three of the circles in half.

*

Apply glue to two of the circles folded in half as shown in the photo.

*

Glue the two circles folded in half onto the full circle.

*

Put some glue on the two halves of the third circle.

*

Place this circle in the center and tie the ends together.

*

Draw black dots on the ladybug’s body.

*

Draw a small head as shown in the picture.

*

Glue the head to the body.

Cover the head in black.*

Add googly eyes.

Complete!
