Luckily, traversing The Lost Woods is actually a lot easier to figure out than the forest would have you believe!
How to get to the lost forest?
The fastest way to The Lost Woods is forest tower. Of course, once you reach the top of Woodland Tower, you notice that a giant stone skull covers the top of the tower, making it impossible to slide through the forest from there.
To get there, follow the beaten path into the forest until you reach this cliff.
How to traverse the lost forest
As soon as you approach the forest, you will be shrouded in fog and appear here. You are now stuck in the Lost Woods. (but you can still fast travel if you want).
Once through the door, look to your right and you’ll see a flashlight. Watch where the embers are pointing due to the wind..
If you follow them where the wind blows, you’ll end up in here from them lanterns.
When you first get here you’ll find a torch (but you can also use all the wood in your inventory or just chop down a small tree to grab a branch). Light it up and you’ll find your torch’s embers blowing downwind as well. Start tracking that. The wind should always be at your back.and you must follow the direction in which the embers blow.
From time to time you should Stop and see if the wind has shifted. If this is the case it will be obvious if you pay attention to where the coals are blowing. If you mess up anywhere, you’ll be teleported to the last area with both flashlights on.
If you do your job right, you’ll end up in a clear.
Once you are here Korok forest it’s just a few steps away. Follow the path between the two rock walls and the forest will finally reveal itself.
From there, you’ll meet old friends, find cool items, and complete shrines (which you can easily go to later).
