How to get the Master Sword in Zelda: Breath of the Wild

With the Master Sword ready to go, Link can’t just dance around and grab the sword with no price tag.

To get the master sword, You need 13 containers full of hearts. While it’s easy to get temporary hearts, it won’t be enough, unfortunately. You need 10 heart containers at the beginning of the game in addition to the three hearts you start with. You can obtain Heart Containers by defeating Divine Beasts or by trading Spirit Orbs, which you can obtain from all shrines around ‘Hyrules. And if you’ve traded a few Spirit Orbs into Energy Ships, don’t worry: you can actually trade Energy Ships for Heart Containers and vice versa.

Pulling the sword out of the ground will deplete Link’s health until he’s within an inch of death. Just before he dies, Link will pull the sword out of the stone and ta-da, you are now the proud owner of the Master Sword!
