How to Draw a Spiderweb – Step by Step Cobweb Drawing Tutorial

Halloween is the time of year to draw all sorts of spooky things – spider webs definitely work, so let’s learn how to draw a spider web.

We will show you a tutorial for both a regular spider web and how to draw a corner spider web.

Drawing spider webs is really easy, in fact this is one of the easiest tutorials we have shared. And for some reason, they’re extremely fun to draw. You won’t be able to stop (super comforting).

Step-by-step instructions on how to draw a spider web

Version 1 – How to draw a spider web

step 1

Start drawing a cross, draw a horizontal line and a vertical line.

2nd step

Draw two more lines, this time diagonally.

step 3

Start weaving your web. Start with the inner “circle” by drawing a small arc from line to line. We draw ours from the diagonal to the vertical.

step 4

Proceed to the next arc, starting where the previous one ended.

step 5

Now do more until you find the first one.

step 6

Make more “circles”. Weave your web until you are happy with how it looks.

Done, you’ve learned how to draw a regular spider web!

Version 2 – How to draw a spider web on the corner

step 1

Start by drawing a horizontal line and a vertical line at right angles.

2nd step

Draw some diagonal lines between the horizontal and vertical lines. We think 3 is a good number, but you can do more or less.

Start weaving your web. Start drawing the first arc, starting from the vertical line and working diagonally.

step 4

Make more arcs until you reach the horizontal line.

step 5

Continue with the next set of arches.

And all the following until your corner mesh looks like it should.
