Learning to draw a cake is easier than you think. By following these steps you’ll have a cake to color and decorate in no time!

What do you need:

  • our printable drawing guide (optional)
  • black pencil or marker
  • paper

Step by step instructions for drawing cakes

Start drawing a curved line. Almost like a smile.

Next, place three rectangles in the middle of the curved line.

Add small chopsticks to light the “candle flames”. It also completes the curved line, making it almost like a soccer ball.

Add three small flames to the candlesticks. Then finish the top layer cake by adding lines on the sides and bottom.

Begin the next part of the cake by drawing a circle underneath. Make sure it’s slightly larger than the other cake layer.

Add sides and a bottom to the cake!

Next make a small circle under the cake and then add a larger circle around it.
