For every fairy spring you visit, the great fairies you encounter can upgrade your armor by one more level. So after you meet the first Great Fairy, you can upgrade any piece of armor to level one. Great Fairy Kayasa is west of Hyrule, south of Tabantha Tower. To find it, just slide south of the tower until you find a plateau a little southeast of it. Great Fairy Tera
Nintendo over Polygon

Great Fairy Tera is the most unusual fairy you will meet. It’s hidden under a skeleton in the extreme south-west of the map Gerudo desert slightly southwest of the exile of the dragon. We recommend adding a pin to the skeleton you see on the map and then mounting a sand bucket directly in that direction.

It’s a direct hit from Gerudo town, but you could get caught in a sandstorm along the way, disabling your entire Sheikah Slate and wiping out your map. If you start straight from Gerudo Town, you will eventually see the skeleton that Tera is hiding under. If she’s the last big fairy you encounter, prepare to unleash a huge one 10,000 rupees.
