Four-leaf clovers are said to bring good luck. Although finding one can be quite a difficult task, making your own out of paper is easy.

*

You can also use this craft as a St. Patrick’s Day craft, just turn it into a three leaf clover and you’re good to go.

*

These would also look great on a spring bulletin board.

How to make a four leaf clover

What do you need:

  • scissors
  • light green cardboard
  • dark green cardboard
  • the glue
  • pencil
  • round pickguard

*

Let us begin!

Step by step instructions

Draw a large heart shape on the light green construction paper.

*

Trace this shape three more times.

*

Cut out the hearts.

*

On the darker green construction paper, draw a smaller heart shape.

*

Trace this smaller heart shape three more times.

*

Cut out the shapes.

*

Now take the light green cardboard again and draw the third smaller heart shape.

*

Trace this heart shape three more times.

*

Then cut them out.

*

Make three shamrocks by gluing the hearts on top of each other and arranging them according to size as in the photo.

*

Using the Circle Punch, punch a green circle.

*

Put glue on the circle and stick the four leaf clovers on it.

*

The clover should now look like this.

*

Draw a stem freehand. Use dark green cardboard.

*

Cut off the stem with scissors.

*

Glue the stem to the leaves with glue.

*

Everything is done here!

*

Now create some of them to decorate your house or share them with your friends.

*

If you want, you can try different colored paper.

*

We really like how this project has turned out.

*

And you?

*

I hope you had fun making this shamrock for Valentine’s Day.

*

Have a nice day and stay tuned for more Valentine’s Day crafts!
