Fix: Can’t Hear Anyone on Discord

Discord is a widely used VoIP app by gamers and non-gamers alike. Because Discord enables voice chat, sometimes you can’t hear people while using Discord. However, other users can hear you clearly. You may not be listening to a particular person or group of people, or you may not be listening to anyone at all. You can also see the green rings indicating the sound is coming too.

The cause of this problem is usually incorrect audio settings or your audio device is not selected as the default device. In some cases, the problem can be caused by a Discord update or a bug in the Discord app. Most of these reasons can be eliminated in minutes, so there is no need to worry. Just follow the methods below and keep going until the issue is resolved.

Method 4: Update Discord

If nothing else worked, it could be due to a bug or a software update. Discord releases a lot of updates and it usually doesn’t take long to download and install them. You may not have noticed, but your Discord may have been updated and this issue could be caused by a bug or glitch. In these cases, Discord usually rolls back the update that fixes the problem or releases a new patch. So, updating Discord will trigger the update and thus fix the issue.
