In this Very far 6 Fast Travel Guides, we’ll explain what you need to set up first before you can fast teleport across the map, how to unlock fast travel locations, and why you should steal a chopper whenever you can.

How to fast travel in Far Cry 6

There is much to discover on the island paradise of Yara far away 6. Although you can get around on foot, horseback or by car, there are quicker ways to traverse the country. Rather than physically traveling through the game’s open world, the quickest way to get around is by fast travel.

learn to travel fast far away 6 It’s easy. As long as you have unlocked certain areas as bases or checkpoints, you can quickly return to them (unless you’re on a mission).

You can fast travel by opening your map and finding a location that you control. For example, one of the first places you can get to quickly is your base.

Highlight the blue icon of a fast travel destination and a small menu will appear. At the bottom of this window is a quick swipe command prompt button or key. Press and hold the highlighted button or key and the game will take you to that location. If you want to fast travel to new locations on the map, you need to unlock new locations or start building your network of hideouts.

Liberate bases and checkpoints

You will find many hostile areas throughout Yara. There will be various enemy bases, camps and military checkpoints along the main roads. If you defeat all the enemies in these locations, they will become a Freedom occupied area. Once under your control, you can get there quickly. You’ll know an area has become a fast travel point when it gets a blue icon on your map.

As you follow your main quests, you will change several bases in the process. However, there are several small enemy camps and settlements that you can take.

As you travel through far away 6, look for highlighted areas with red borders. These are enemy-held areas. You can defeat all enemies in these bases to take them out. You can also get smaller side quests that require you to clear enemy territory. These usually end with the enemy taking control of that square.

If your blue and white Liberty flags are hanging over buildings and raising your flagpoles after all enemies are gone, then that area is now a fast travel point.

Build the web of hideouts.

After clearing the introductory island that serves as the game’s tutorial, begin exploring the larger landmass that makes up Yara. One of your first goals is to build a base camp at Montero Farms.

One of the activities you can do in this base is building new facilities. Each of these buildings you create unlock new aspects of the game, such as fishing, hunting, and most importantly, the hide-and-seek web.

When you first build the Hideout Network, not only do you get access to the wingsuit, but it also opens a facility on your farm that you can use to buy new hideouts. These hideouts are scattered throughout Yara. Each new hideout opens a fast travel point across the island. As you upgrade your Hideout network, these mini-bases can also house vehicle spawn points where you can call in transportation at your leisure.

flying helicopters

By the time you install Hideout Network at Montero Farms, you’ll have driven some cars and ridden some horses. While these ground vehicles are a pretty decent way to get around the map on your own, nothing beats helicopters.

Some of the medium sized enemy bases throughout Yara have helipads. If you defeat and free all the enemies in the base, you can use the airstrip to summon your own helicopter. From this point on, you can call a helicopter to any base or hideout that has a landing pad.

You can also just steal a helicopter from an occupied base and bring it back to a hideout or a base with a landing pad. Any stolen vehicle you drop off at a base you control immediately becomes part of your travel inventory.

Anyway, helicopters are one of the most fun ways to travel around Yara if you’re not a fast traveler. As long as you’re not flying over an area with anti-aircraft guns, helicopters can get you over the island with relative ease. Additionally, the onboard machine guns and missiles can quickly take down any enemy base if you want to set up new fast travel points.
