Destiny 2 Xur location and items, Aug. 16-20
when you played determination, you may know Xur, the weekly exotic goods seller. Inside destiny 2She has returned and is now appearing all over the map. This week see Xur at nessPulling Calus’ barge.
Xur’s inventory this week consists of the following:
- Arbalest, Kinetic Linear Fusion Rifle – 29 Legendary Shards
- Crown of Storms, Warlock Helm – 23 legendary shards
- Shinobu’s Vow Hunter Weapons: 23 legendary shards
- Ashen Wake, Titan’s Arm: 23 legendary shards
- Isochron Engram: 97 Legendary Shards
- Invitation Mission: 9 Legendary Shards
Xur’s inventory is capped at 731 if you have 750. He also offers specific roles for each armor piece each week and offers different perks for the same pieces.
Arbalest is The Revelry’s exotic holiday event. Your Exotic Perk is composite power, where the weapon deals additional damage to shielded enemies. It also gets stronger after destroying an enemy shield.
Arbalest is unique in many ways. It’s the first kinetic fusion rifle and an amazing tool for destroying shields (usually something reserved for energy weapons). This weapon isn’t the most impressive everyday exotic, but it’s very powerful in niche situations like tough activities with lots of shielded enemies like the Zero Hour quest.
If you didn’t get it during The Revelry and you didn’t get it as world loot, get it.
Shinobu’s voice comes from Curse of Osiris. Its exotic advantage, new tricks, upgrades your grenade jump and gives you an additional grenade jump charge. The value of this exotic depends on personal preferences. Anything that gives you an extra shell load is great. However, this additional shell load only applies to Arcstrider fighters, the least popular fighter spec. If you enjoy playing Arcstrider and would rather use an exotic grenade instead of the Raiden Flux chestpiece, grab these gauntlets. If this doesn’t apply to you, skip it.
This week’s role:
Slot 1: Machine Gun Loader, Fastball, Impulse Transmission
Slot 2: Scavenger Grenade Launcher, special ammo quest
Ashen Wake is one of the new exotics in Destiny 2: Strategist. His main exotic perk is bring the heat, causing the fusion grenades used by the Sun Titans to explode instantly on impact and travel faster through the air. It’s a great exotic on paper, but it doesn’t add any damage to your shells.
Ashen Wake is a tough sell for your only exotic location when there are other grenade-related exotics like the Armamentarium. The effect is still fun though, especially if you’re used to the instant gratification that comes with Striker’s pulse grenades. Choose them if you are a titanium hammer collector or lover.
This week’s role:
Slot 1 – SMG Magazine, Linear Fusion Rifle Magazine, Pulse Transmission
Slot 2: Special Ammo Finder, Heavy Ammo Finder
Crown of Storms
Crown of Tempests is a very good Warlock Exotic, especially if you like Stormcallers. The main advantage of this helmet, guide teeth, causes bow skill kills to recharge your bow skills and increase the duration of your super; this ability now stacks as well. The only bad news about this helmet is that it has to be used with Stormcaller, which is now a great PvP super and good for taking out enemies in attacks and raids. If you don’t have this helmet for your Warlock, you should definitely buy it.
This week’s role:
Slot 1: Bow Target, Light Reactor, Machine Gun Target
Slot 2: Fusion Rifle Reserves, Machine Gun Reserves
If you haven’t already completed the invite quest, Xur still offers it for nine legendary shards.
