After escaping the Server of Doom and climbing the pipes, you will find yourself in the boss arena of destiny 2: Black Armoryfrom the Scourge of the Past raid. But before you can defeat Insurrection Prime, the behemoth Metal Gear, you must free him from his prison.

In this guide we will show you how to quickly summon tanks and open the boss.

start the fight

First you need to split your team into two teams: outside and inside. The outside team will mainly focus on eliminating the enemy, while the inside team will have to jump on tanks and get powerful buffs.

Once you split the crew in half, hunt down and kill the Giant Servant. This lowers the electric fences blocking the arena floor and the fight begins.

We will break this next section into roles to make it clearer.

Summon Tank

Abroad

External players should have explosive supers like Blade Barrage or roaming supers like Titan Hammers or Dawnblade. Tether can be great here when using Orpheus Rigs. You should also make sure the team has a variety of damage item types. Weapons like Borealis or Hard Light are pretty powerful here as they can easily switch between Arc, Solar and Void.

While your allies are in hiding, you must protect them and listen to their calls. Large groups of Shanks with powerful elemental shields will appear in the arena and begin to make their way underground. If you don’t kill them, they will give hell to your teammates below. Use the appropriate item to pop their shields while they’re still coiled; The resulting explosion will likely blow up the shanks around him as well.

In addition to eliminating Shank, you must periodically kill the Great Servant. Wait for your allies to say all three have received a buff and are ready for an update. Kill the minion to refresh its buffs. When everyone gets a second buff, a Servitor is recalled for the kill. Force them to lower the electric gates and let them climb back up.

And that’s about it for the people, although for your own safety, keep an eye out for vandal snipers, especially on the rooftops.

Inside

Once you’ve eliminated the first large server, the three members inside must choose another hole to launch into. After entering your hole, turn right and find a generator. As you get closer you will see a hologram of a triangle, square Where Circle. However, one of these buffs is red and alternates between all three – it is damaged and interacting with it will cause everyone to die.

Have each player fight a generator to get one of the buffs. Call out the hit symbol to let your allies know what’s left on the table. If you get the corrupted token, keep running it until it asks for another token. Make sure you don’t melee to your advantage until all the players inside are underground, as this will roll the lightning barrier again and block it outside.

Once you have a buff, move away from other buff holders as you get too close to them and deal damage. If you must go through the tunnels, do so quickly to avoid taking too much damage.

When all three players have the buff, tell the away team to kill the first servitor. When the first minion dies, your buffs will refresh. Run until you find the same buff you got last time. Melee to pick up another stack.

When all players have their x2 buff, tell the away team to destroy the second server. When the doors lower, go outside to the outdoor area and go to a generator. (For convenience, we had a square on the left, a triangle on the right, and a circle at the top where the server spawns first.) Wait for your allies while dropping the buff on the generator. Dropping two buffs at once will spawn a tank for every three inside players. Jump and get ready to deal damage.

to do damage

External players don’t have much to do here except dodge missiles. Players inside must shoot at the crowd in the center of the arena with tank shells. Remember to use your rockets as they do a lot of damage.

However, rockets will fall from the sky to destroy the tanks. Have each player stand at the end of a different path so everyone can see the center unobstructed. Rock the tank as missiles rain down from the sky. This should keep him relatively safe in his tank. Take off with rockets and rockets until the counter on the left side of your screen reaches zero. If all three players get this right, you should be able to destroy three quarters of the boss’s health at once.

If something goes wrong and you don’t reach at least the first tick of the boss’s health, Insurrection Prime will kill everyone and send you back to the start. The same happens if you take too long to summon the tanks.

Once the tanks explode, jump up and repeat the fight. When you destroy all four arms holding the boss, the battle will end and a chest will appear at the end of the arena.

Congratulations, you’ve earned the right to fight the true final boss: Insurrection Prime!
