destiny 2The Festival of the Lost is back for another year and this time it’s all about collecting rare candies and chocolate coins. If you collect enough during the festival, the new Braytech Werewolf Auto Rifle will be yours.
Like last year, the magic forest returns determination two and a few changes have been made, including a surprising new ending and an immortal enemy that lurks as you make your way through the forest.
This year we’ve got a few tips to keep you safe in the woods and make sure you have everything you need to unlock your shiny Halloween Auto Rifle.
Get the mask hood and keep it during the festival
The first thing you should do when you arrive at the tower for the Feast of the Lost is go to Eva who is waiting at the base of the feast tree. After a short talk he will give you a quest and allow you to buy items and challenges from him. One of the items that you can buy is the mask hood. Buy it and equip it or you won’t be able to get candy. The hood only costs 100 Glimmer and you can buy it in any kind of item you want.
Climb the Tower Tree for additional rewards
Once you’ve spoken to Eva, you can focus your gaze on the tree she’s standing under. Go to the opposite side from Eva and you will see some platforms around the tree. Jump onto these platforms and collect the candies that are there. If you make it to the top of the tree, you’ll find rare chocolate coins to start your Festival of the Lost collection.
Get the Master of Disguise Triumph and don’t forget to buy your Braytech Werewolf
The most exciting thing Eva sells at this Festival of the Lost is the Braytech Werewolf, an automatic rifle that comes standard with 950 light. Before you can buy the rifle you must obtain this Master of Disguise Triumph requires all 5 Festival of the Lost 2019 skins. You can buy all of Eva’s skins, but for this you need 150 Strange Chocolate Coins.
Once you have the win, you can purchase the Braytech werewolf for 1,000 candies. If you’re happy with the result of getting the weapon’s benefits once, or if you just want to get a little bit better, you can also choose a random version of the weapon the first time after the previous attack. This random build costs 250 Candy, 5,000 Glimmer, and 5 Legendary Shards.
The Enchanted Forest is a good way to get weird candies and chocolate coins, but it’s not the only way
The Festival of the Lost is all about earning rare chocolate coins and candy, and there are many ways to do it. For rare parts, you need to make sure you always complete the Eva bounties. Weekly bounties give five rare chocolate coins as a final reward, while daily bounties give two.
Another great option for earning any of these things is the Enchanted Forest. Just head into the matchmaking event that can start from the tower map and within 15 minutes you’ll earn around 100 candies and some rare chocolate coins. If the Enchanted Forest isn’t your favorite event, you can also go into almost every mode like Crucible and earn festival currency there as well.
You can’t kill The Unyielding Terror, so you should run instead.
Speaking of the Enchanted Forest, a terrible foe roams its halls: Unyielding Terror. This gigantic foe doesn’t show up with every new forest, but if it does, it’s best to stay away from him. He will slowly follow you through the level, but you cannot damage him. He’s immune to everything. If you are trapped in a small room with the scare, you should look for a hidden exit along the walls. It may be invisible, but it doesn’t fit into small spaces.
destiny 2Festival of the Lost 2019 should have you looking for candy and rare coins over the next two weeks, but that’s not all that’s happening during the festival. There’s also a new dungeon to explore, a new exotic quest to hunt down the Xenophage machine gun, and a new Crucible mode called Momentum. With all that stuff and the enchanted forest, you should have no problem unlocking your very own Braytech werewolf in no time.
