Destiny 2: Shadow WardenThe Festival of the Lost is here, and with it comes an exotic secret quest. The weapon at the heart of the quest is the Xenophage Exotic submachine gun. But before you can get the weapon, you’ll have to venture through some tricky quests to find it.
How to get the Xenophage Exotic Machine Gun.
note: Players are still working on this mostly hidden quest. As we and the community learn more, we’ll update this guide with screenshots and tips on how to complete it.
Step 1: The Journey
This first step is to find the quest you want to start on. The quest is hidden inside the moon. The port of pain. Once you land in the port, enter the tower and follow the tunnels. You will come to a light in the middle of the cave.
Once you reach this light, go past it and jump into the hidden hole in the wall on the right. Follow the tunnel into the hole until you reach a platform facing the pyramid with two statues on either side.
You must interact with each of the four statues.
We’ll start with the statue closest to the entrance, on the right, then the statue furthest to the right, then the statue furthest to the left, and finally the statue closest to the left. Although this code worked for us, several other codes have been reported on the destiny 2 underreddit.
Once the code has been entered correctly, a new one will be sent chest appears on the balcony. Open the chest and you will get a new quest that will take you to the next step of the quest.
Step 2 – Anchor of Light
The second step of the Xenophage quest sends you to the Anchor of Light. From there you need to find a small ball of light and use it to light up some of the music stand hidden in the neighborhood. You can see the location of the ball of light on the map below where the green arrow is located on the map below.
The first lectern you need to activate is right next to where the light appears. Pick up the light and run it across the desk. This is what the first looks like:
All music stands look the same, but you have to turn them on in a specific order. Here is a map showing the locations and order of the lecterns:
Once you turn on the first one, you have 60 seconds to move on to the next. This timer is reset every time you turn on a new desktop. Most of them are easy to find, but space can be tricky. It is on the third floor of the Anchor of Light tower.
After turning on all six lecterns, you’ll receive a message that says “You’re ready to come out of the dark.” Once you see this, you will get an objective pointer that will lead you to the final location of this step.
Drop the light where the game tells you to and you will proceed to the next phase of the Xenophage quest.
Step 3: The Four Fragments
This section of the quest sends you to collect fragments from each Lost Sector on the Moon. To get these shards you will have to traverse the Lost Sectors as usual. Once you get to the end, you’ll find a puzzle on the wall near the exit of each Lost Sector.
These puzzles have a variety of symbols and you must match them all to get the shard.
Everyone has a complicated solution, and luckily a Discord user named “Haiku” has put them together in a helpful way.
Step 4: Enter the dungeon
For the next leg of the quest, you need to head to the new in-game dungeon Pit of Heresy. To gain access to the dungeon, speak to Eris and complete her short quest line. Once you’ve done that, you need to find a hidden door with no icon in the dungeon. The door is in a wall full of doors and symbols.
Find and interact with that particular door and you’ll have completed that section of the quest.
Step 5: The Outcast
The next step takes you to the room near the fight with the Pariah Ogre in the dungeon. On the cliffs near the encounter, you need to climb down until you see a ledge with a small plate. Stand on the slab and three platforms will appear. Climb these platforms (you can take as long as you need, they shouldn’t go away) and you’ll eventually discover the third platform. Take the light and bring it to a door with fire pits to fight alongside the nearby tunnels. The door should open and take you to the final boss.
If you fight the boss, you will get a “Terror”. Their terror corresponds to one of four different elements: Arc, Solar, Void, or Neutral. Once you know how scared you are, you can pick up the ball in the center of the chamber and dive near the symbol of your fear. After that, you get a buff and can damage the boss with the elemental weapon that matches your Terror, where Neutral is Kinetic.
Once the boss is dead you can return to Eris and she will give you your new Xenophage.
