Climb ladders and anchors
America recreated in death stranding it’s a disaster from coast to coast. You have to make your way through raging rivers, rocky paths and huge mountains. There’s not much you can do on two feet, but Climb ladders and anchors make a big difference.
Ladders are one of the most versatile tools in the game as you can use them to traverse vertical and horizontal spaces. The most obvious use is to place ladders in front of rocky cliffs that are too steep to climb. That’s the obvious use for stairs, but there’s another equally important use case.
Can drop a vertical ladder over bodies of water and crevasses. They make it easy for you to cross streams or gaps that would otherwise be impossible.
Climbing anchors also serve a dual purpose., but they require some configuration. The most obvious use is to place a climbing anchor high on a large cliff overlooking a sheer drop. You can easily descend 30 meters without a scratch. You can always revisit a climbing anchor and use it for climbing as well. It’s a bit slow, but it’s the safest way to cover long distances without worrying about falling and damaging your cargo.
The great thing about climbing ladders and anchors is that other players may already have placed them in critical spots in their game. If you come across one from another player in a place that has really helped you, please like them and let them know you appreciate them.
You can create all kinds of structures with Portable Chiral Constructor or PCC. You should always have one on hand.
Early in the game, PCCs can create important structures such as bridges, storage lockers, equipment charging stations, and more. The world of death stranding it’s huge and difficult to navigate. Over time you will find that the items created with a PCC can save your life.
Anything you craft through a PCC will show up on your map with a blue Symbol. Any item in your game that was created by another player will appear with a green Symbol.
death strandingThe story provides an interesting reason not to kill other human characters. Aside from other enemies in the world of Beached Things (BT), however, other humans pose a threat to you and your cargo. So how can you fight back?
One of the first weapons you get in the game is a bullet gun. Its cord neutralizes enemies by wrapping itself around them and knocking them down. A single shot from the ball will obliterate all human enemies, temporarily ending their hunt. Hitting an opponent with a bullet shot doesn’t necessarily stun them, however. If he doesn’t get hit in the head (which is possible but rare), the MULEs can get back up and continue chasing him.
To permanently stop an enemy from attacking, you need to hit them with a ball kick, then run towards them and press the square button to kick them and knock them out.
The ball is one of the best tools for non-lethal dealing with attackers on the street. You should always have one handy, especially in new areas where you may not yet know where the enemy camps are. Sure, you’ll know when you’re in enemy territory if their scanners are pointing at you, but if you get in the way while escaping, the ball is your best defense.
Eventually, you’ll gain access to various weapons that use your blood as ammo. If you were injured in the game, e.g. from falling off a cliff, you’ll find that the amount of blood you have serves as your current health pool. So how do you use weapons that use your blood without killing yourself? blood bag.
You can create blood bags that contain milliliters of your blood. Think of it like storing ammo. Once you have a Blood Bag, you can equip it by holding the D-Pad on the left.
When equipped, Blood Sacs will do one of two things:
- First, they automatically replenish the blood you lose from taking damage.
- Second, when using weapons that use blood as ammo, they first draw blood from blood bags before sucking it from your body.
It’s always good to have two or three on hand in case you get into a fight.
No matter how well you manage to dodge BTs, you will eventually come up against some of them. Sneaking past them can be tedious, and trying to fight the bigger ones can be a nightmare if you’re not prepared. One of the first items you get in the game is also the best attack tool you’ll ever get: Hematic Grenades.
Available in packs of five, these grenades use your blood as ammo. We recommend carrying at least three sets of Hematic Grenades with you at all times, so it’s also good to have enough Blood Sacs to spare.
Once you get stuck and in the middle of an area full of Time Drop, BTs will appear. A single hematic grenade will take out a humanoid BT early in the game.
You can also use these disposables to take out larger animal-like BTs, but these can take up to 15 or more hematic grenades to kill them. So if you’re in the mood to fight them, be prepared to pack a lot.
You should always have a spare pair of boots on hand. much of your time death stranding it will tire while running, and a new pair of boots will help you control your stamina while you do it. Eventually your boots will wear out. If they are completely destroyed, you can seriously injure yourself while walking.
Luckily, you can hang a spare pair of boots on the roof rack without taking up valuable space. Your costume has a special clip just for boots, and you should always have a fresh pair with you in case you need to change shoes during delivery.
Once you gain access to vehicles, you can load additional cargo space with building materials such as metals, ceramics, special alloys, etc. These materials will come in handy as you and other players work together to build much larger structures that would be difficult to build alone.
You’ll find various structures throughout your game, from bridges to entire sections of road, all of which require hundreds (if not thousands) of materials. These structures are group work, and if you can grab various materials on your journey and place them in the structures that need them along the way, you can help yourself and other players build structures, all of which you will learn in the hours to come will benefit. .
