We love this easy recipe; it’s so refreshing and light. You can also play with other ingredients to add. We’ve already shared a lemon rosemary gin fizz with you, and by substituting sloe gin for the gin, you create a completely different drink.

make a classic gin fizz

All you need is 5 minutes and a few simple ingredients. For this cocktail you will need:

  • Gin (we chose mid-range gin)
  • sugar
  • Fresh lemon juice (freshly squeezed is best here)
  • soda club

Mix in the gin, lemon juice and some sugar. Add ice and fill the top of your glass with sparkling mineral water. Easy!

BTW, if you (or someone you’re doing this for) want to skip the gin, lemon juice, sugar, and soda are pretty tasty.

You can’t go wrong with this classic gin fizz cocktail recipe. It’s simple, fresh, light and a hit all year round. When we buy lemonade, we prefer to buy the bottle without the sodium.

Makes 1 drink

will need

2 ounces (4 tablespoons) gin

1/2 ounce (1 tablespoon) fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon powdered sugar

3 to 4 ounces club soda

slice of lemon

Advice from Adam and Joanne

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the gin and add more soda. Slightly sweetened lemon juice mixed with soda is very refreshing.
