If you haven’t encountered dragons before, we recommend that you search for Naydra first, as meeting and dealing with Naydra explains many aspects of the role of dragons in Hyrule.

Naydra sits on top Mount Lanaryunorthwest of Old Hateno Tech Lab. You’ll need a few things, mostly cold-weather gear (like the Snowquill armor in Rito’s village) and plenty of arrows. Your interaction with Naydra will be different than your interaction with others, so be prepared.

When you meet Naydra, you will find that she is infected with Calamity Ganon. So before you can enjoy the benefits of finding and unlocking a dragon Jitan Sa’mi Shrine use Naydra’s scale, you need to remove Ganon infection. You can find out how to do this here, which gives you access Jitan Sa’mi Shrinehis blessing and a frost lance.

WHERE YOU FIND DINRAAL

There are a handful of places to find Dinraal, but this one is pretty reliable.

The Dinraal Compendium entry says you can find it near the Eldin Mountains and Tabantha Border, but you can easily see it where it spawns right next to the Large Eldin skeleton right in 9 a m To ensure Dinraal reliably spawns at 9am, we recommend fast-travelling to the Gorae Torr Shrine, which is at the very top Good check rock just north of mountain of death.

When you arrive at the Gorae Torr Shrine, put on some firewood, light it and wait until morning, which will be 5am. From there go to Large Eldin skeleton. Once there, climb over the cliffs in front of the Great Skeleton, but don’t climb too high as you’ll want to paraglide down to shoot arrows at Dinraal. Once on top of the nearby cliffs, wait until 9 a m and Dinraal should spawn just northeast of the Great Skeleton. Dinraal tends not to spawn if you’re directly in its trajectory, which is directly above Skeleton Great. So if you are on the cliffs it should appear. You can farm from here Dinraal scales.

Unlock Dinraal Scales Tutsuwa Nima Shrine and the power adapteris directly west of Akkala North Stable.

WHERE TO FIND FAROSH

Farosh is the easiest dragon to find and fight. Farosh appears out the northwestern part of Lake Hylia exactly 12:00 p.m The easiest way to get Farosh scale and access to The Shae Katha Shrine and Power Source is to travel lake tour.

Once you get to the Lake Tower, go to the South Tower hylic bridge to the Lake Hylia. When you travel fast lake tourMake sure you light some firewood there and wait until dark which is 9pm. From there, go to the south tower of Hylia Bridge, face north and wait for Farosh to come out of the lake at 12 noon.

While Farosh is the easiest dragon to find, making sure you can farm his scales can be a little tricky. Shoot him while he’s on the bridge to make all the scales land right on the bridge. Like the other dragons, Farosh has an updraft all around him, so slide down from the top of the tower, get closer and shoot arrows at his body while he’s on the bridge.

Once you have his scale, you can travel there Power Source and Shae Katha Shrine located in Dracozu Lakethat’s on top of the jungle northwest of lighthouse.
