Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Switch has a new currency called miles corner, whose You earn by completing achievements.

You can buy one with 2,000 Nook Miles Rincon Miles ticket out of corner stop to the resident services. Take the airport ticket and you can fly to a desert island to collect resources like wood, stone or iron nuggets. You can also recruit villagers from these islands to live on yours.

The islands you find might have a similar layout, but the fruits and villagers you find on your island are always random.

What should you look out for in the Nook Miles Islands? With the help of a guide from Ash Wolf, we’ve put together a list of things to consider about Mystery Island Tours. Note that if you don’t get any of the profitable islands like Money Rock or Tarantula Island, it’s because they have a low chance of spawning.

A note on the villagers.

If you have open residential lots on your island, you can invite one Villager located in Nook Miles Island to come and stay with you. Each island has a villager unless your town is full. If you don’t accommodate the new villagers, there will be no pets on the island.

Island of non-native fruits

This island will be filled with fruits not native to your island. This is their “sister fruit” and the only other fruit you can find at Mystery Island Tours besides coconuts.

can you sell this foreign fruit for 500 bells (instead of 100 bells), and it’s also worth bringing some to plant and turn into trees on your own island.

If you eat fruit, you can also dig up whole trees to bring with you. This is a good way to replant alien fruit trees on your island without having to wait for them to grow.

Money rock island

You might come across an island with a large river circling a small piece of land covered with rocks. All rocks on this earth will be money rocks. That means you can craft up to 16,000 bells by hitting each one with a shovel. To access the stone-covered land, you’ll need to eat a fruit, break a rock out of the river, and use the newly opened location to jump to the central island.

There is another Money Rock Island, the rocks of which are scattered among the flowers. You will know you are on this island as it has four triangular cliffs on each corner.

bamboo island

As the name suggests, it is an island full of bamboo. Eat fruits and dig up bamboo forests to bring them home. You can also find bamboo shoots here, useful for some crafts. Bamboo Thicket yields Bamboo when you hit it with a Stone Ax, and Bamboo is a requirement for crafting Bamboo Furniture.

fish island

This island has cliffs layered in the middle that resemble a fish’s fin. Here you can catch sharks and sunfish from the water. This island can make a lot of money if you breed sharks. At this time we do not know if this island only appears during the spawning months of these fish or if these islands can appear at any time.

Flower/Butterfly Island hybrid

This island will be filled with colors of hybrid flowers. Rare butterflies appear around these flowers. You can catch the butterflies for profit or use your bag to bring these rare hybrid flowers to your island. Just use a shovel on the flower to dig it up and take it home.

Tarantula and Scorpion Islands

Depending on the season, tarantulas or scorpions appear on this island. This island will start spawning at 7pm when the two creatures will start spawning normally. If you get bitten, it will only wake you up on the island, so you can keep trying. These two insects sell for 8,000 Bells each, making them one of the most lucrative islands.

garbage island

Garbage like boots, cans, and tires are the only things you catch in the water around this type of island. This can be useful for completing the Nook Mileage achievement Trash Fishin’ and farming the items you need for DIY recipes.

big fish island

This island has a large fish-shaped pond in the center and hybrid flowers. Only large fish spawn on this island.

There is also another Big Fish Island design where there is a circular river with a small island in the middle.

Golden Island

This island has a large lake surrounding a small island in the middle (similar to Money Rock Island). The rock in the center drops eight gold nuggets when hit.

Update (April 3): We added information about other islands that players found.
