Ager’s scepter is the last goal two Warmth. It’s an exotic tracer gun that deals stasis damage and can freeze all nearby enemies after a kill. It’s a powerful and fun exotic in PvE, capable of knocking down enemies and triggering Fragment perks when paired with a Stasis subclass. But as of September 21, Ager’s title also has a catalyst.

Here’s how to find Ager’s Scepter Catalyst, how to unlock it, and what it does.

Find Ager’s Scepter Catalyst

During the Season of the Lost, the Scepter of Ager Catalyst falls from the Guide’s Treasure at the end of the Astral Alignment activity. This is the chest that appears at the end of the activity that requires you to spend 100 Parallax Trajectories to unlock it. We were lucky enough to get our Catalyst on the first try, but others have reported multiple runs with no crashes. Just keep running Astral Alignment and open Wayfinder’s Trove until it falls for you.

Unlock Ager’s Scepter Catalyst

So you have the catalyst, but you don’t know how to unlock it. Well, you should get around 1000 kills with it. However, precision kills count as more than one kill. Destroying these rocks reserved for Ager viewers in the Shattered Realm is also supposed to give you a progression bonus, but it doesn’t seem to be working properly at the time of writing.

Just run the system to get precision kills with the Staff of Ager. And if you want something faster, you can always perform Shuro Chi’s checkpoint in Last Wish for a quick and easy kill.

What does the catalyst in Ager’s Scepter do?

Ager’s Scepter Catalyst drains your Super for ridiculous damage

Ager’s Scepter Catalyst adds a new perk called Will Given Form. When your Super is fully charged, you can hold down the reload button to activate Will Given Form, which overflows from the Ager’s Scepter’s magazine, increasing lightning damage and increasing the weapon’s ability to slow and freeze targets. The perk constantly consumes Super while active, so the empowerment ends on recharge if the user’s Super is depleted or the user puts the weapon away.

This buff is extremely powerful, turning an already powerful weapon into a must-have exotic weapon.
