Our failsafe method for cooking pork tenderloin

Pork tenderloin is lean and contains almost no fat. So it can be difficult to keep it moist and juicy. Unless you know these steps for the juiciest roast pork. You don’t need a specific recipe for this, just the steps to cook it better. The flavors are up to you; Below we offer some suggestions. We use the same method to prepare our pork tenderloin with peppers and onions.

How to make pork tenderloin

Step 1: Season the pork

For the best pork tenderloin, pat dry and season generously with salt and pepper.. Patting the meat dry will help the salt and pepper stick together better. It also means less sizzling in the pan when searing meat.

Step 2: Fry the pork in a pan

Before roasting, we always sear the pork on all sides first. After seasoning, put in a hot pan; We love our cast-iron skillet for that. Fry until golden brown on all sides. It’s okay if the pork is still raw in the middle.

When the pork is browned on all sides, it’s ready to be placed in the oven. yes there isYou use herbs or spices, now it’s time to add them..

I could have added herbs before searing the pork but could to bury She. By adding them after browning and before grilling, the herbs add flavor but won’t turn brown or bitter.

Step 3: Finish in the oven

To finish cooking the pork, slide it into a hot oven. We keep the oven temperature high and roast the pig for 15-20 minutes.

Cook the pork until an internal thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads between 145 and 150 degrees F.. This will make the pork juicy and slightly pink in the middle. If you’re not a fan of pink, cook a little longer, but be careful not to overdo it.

In our easy lemon chicken recipe, we use the same method: season, brown, and then cook in the oven until cooked through. It makes chicken perfectly cooked and juicy with a crispy skin.

Step 4: Make a quick sauce

For the juiciest pork tenderloin, prepare a quick stir-fry sauce. To do this, use the same skillet you cooked the pork in and add about 3/4 cup of liquid. You can use apple cider (we did), wine, chicken broth, vegetable broth, or even beef broth. Boil this liquid until reduced by half, then add a tablespoon of butter.

flavor combinations

You may already have some half-used spices in your pantry, here are some suggestions on how to use them in this recipe. Our recipe calls for three things: pork, a seasoning mix, and deglazing liquid for the pan sauce.

  • A spicy mix with pepper, garlic, maybe chipotle + apple cider, apple juice or cranberry juice
  • Chicken Seasoning + Chicken Broth
  • Steak Seasoning + Red Wine or Beef Broth
  • Mixtures of rosemary or thyme + dry white wine, dry red wine, beef broth or chicken broth

will need

2 (1 to 1 1/2 pounds) pork tenderloin (also called pork tenderloin)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

2 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil

1-2 tablespoons of your choice of rub/seasoning mix, fresh or dried

3/4 cup wine, broth, apple cider, or a combination of these

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

  • Prepare the pig
  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Trim each fillet of silvery skin (this can be tricky when cooking. Use a small, sharp knife and slide the blade down and out to loosen it). Pat the pork dry with a paper towel. Then season generously with salt and pepper.

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large cast-iron skillet or heavy-bottomed ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork tenderloins and cook, turning occasionally, until well browned, about 2 minutes per side. Spread the seasoning mixture or herbs on the pork.

Grill 10 to 15 minutes or until an internal thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 145 to 150 degrees F.

    • End
    • Place pork on a large plate and cover with foil. Leave to rest for 10 minutes. While the pork is resting, return the pan to medium-high heat. Add apple cider and reduce by half. Add butter and drizzle over the pork.

Advice from Adam and Joanne

  • When is pork tenderloin ready? We cook our pork at 145 degrees F. This means the pork is just pink in the center, safe to eat and ultra juicy. You can cook pork tenderloin between 145°F and 160°F. Remember that keeping it close to 145°F yields the juiciest, most tender cut of meat.
